Geminisat Co., Ltd. held the "Marine Affairs Council Scientific Research and Development Project Results Exhibition and Related Product Showcase" on August 28, 2025, at the Eastern Science Park in Xizhi, Taipei. The event highlighted the tangible outcomes of Geminisat’s contributions to the Marine Affairs Council’s Technology Research and Development Project, drawing more than one hundred distinguished guests from industry, government, and academia.
The project, titled "Application of AIS and Low-Earth Orbit Satellites for Ship Safety Monitoring," focuses on enhancing maritime safety. By integrating technologies such as low-earth orbit satellites, AIS (Automatic Identification System), radar, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the project aims to address maritime security challenges, reduce labor burdens, and boost the economic efficiency of Taiwan’s marine industry.
At the exhibition, in addition to displaying a variety of satellite terminal products for multi-orbit satellites, Geminisat presented design solutions utilizing satellite functions for unmanned vehicles (e.g., unmanned ships and vehicles).
To achieve the objectives of the Marine Affairs Council’s research project, Geminisat developed the "Maritime Situation Awareness and Decision Support Platform," a next-generation smart monitoring solution that combines AI, multi-source data, and 3D sensing networks. This platform introduces a revolutionary transformation in maritime monitoring by integrating AI and multi-source data, providing unprecedented maritime situational awareness capabilities.
