Man OverBoard Positioning Device
Man OverBoard Positioning Device
Maritime Emergency Rescue – Man Overboard (MOB) Positioning Device
The life-saving rescue device is equipment that maritime personnel should wear at all times. When a person falls overboard, the MLSD 505 device is activated in an emergency and can automatically or manually transmit AIS distress signals, VHF DSC alarms, and voice distress calls.
The device features automatic GPS positioning and transmits the distress location—longitude and latitude—to rescue vessels and aircraft equipped with AIS (Automatic Identification System) and VHF DSC (Very High Frequency Digital Selective Calling) systems. This enables rescuers to locate the person in distress in the shortest possible time.
VHF equipment will also receive digital (DSC) alarm signals and voice distress calls, significantly improving rescue efficiency.
Safety Protection for Maritime and Offshore Personnel
The alarm positioning beacon has an effective rescue range of approximately 3 to 5 nautical miles. When a person falls into the water, the device activates automatically, which is particularly useful in situations where the person is unconscious or injured and unable to manually operate the device.
It provides essential safety protection for maritime professionals. Please carry and wear the device correctly at all times.
